Lundons Law welcomes Laura McFarlane as co-director. She joins fellow directors Steve Riley, Simon Gaines and four support staff.
Rapid rise to partner
Laura McFarlane has had a rapid rise to partner. She joined Lundons straight out of Law School in 2013 as a law clerk. She gained admittance to the bar shortly after and became a lawyer in April 2014. Two years later, coinciding with Simon Gaines joining the firm, Laura made Associate. Now as director, she is not only one of the few female partners in Marlborough but also the youngest.
Christchurch-born Laura studied law and a BA, majoring in history and classics, at Canterbury University. Her husband’s new role at Marlborough Lines brought her to Blenheim and she hasn’t looked back.
“I’m excited to become a director and to take a big step forward in my career. It is a fantastic opportunity. I’m proud to be part of such a dynamic, inclusive and respectful team of professionals.”
